Penn Fishing Tackle Manufacturing was founded by Mr. Otto Henze. In 1922, he left his homeland Germany at the young age of 25 and came over to the United States with lots of dreams. He started his life in America by working as a machinist at the Ocean City Reels Company in Philadelphia. But his aspirations were much higher. He was greatly inspired by the legendary fishing exploits of the famous Zane Grey and dreamt that he too would own his own company one day and produce fishing reels that would be capable of setting world records
